The Rules

TRACK AND LIMIT YOUR DAILY SUGARS TO A TOTAL OF 25 GRAMS.

Use an app, like My Fitness Pal, or just track it on the included Sugar Shake Off tracking sheet.  

To be eligible to be entered into the random drawing for the $25 Amazon Gift Card, you don't have to have a perfect week, I just want you to make progress. But to be entered into the drawing you must participate by doing the following two things:

SHARE AND POST IN THE SUGAR SHAKE DOWN EVENT GROUP ALL 5 DAYS. 

  1. Comment with a simple post like a "thumbs up", "thumbs down", "smily face", or "sad face" on how you did keeping your sugar intake to 25 grams or less AND

  2. Let us know something healthy you ate that day or let us know what is or isn't working to get you through your sugar cravings.

NO NO'S:

NO High Fructose Corn Syrup or items such as soda, caramel, candy, cookies, cake, ice cream, cereal, etc. 

 

NO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS

This includes: Saccharin, Aspartame and Sucralose and items such as diet sodas and most "sugar-free" labeled foods.
 

LIMIT YOUR INTAKE:

LIMIT NATURAL SWEETENERS

This includes: Maple syrup, honey, molasses, agave nectar, coconut palm sugar, fruit juice, etc.

LIMIT NATURAL NO-CALORIE SWEETENERS

This includes Stevia in the Raw. 

 

NO PROBLEM:

NATURAL SUGARS ARE ALLOWED

This includes: Fruit, veggies, and naturally sweetened or plain dairy. 

 

TIP:

READ LABELS!

Read every label on packaged foods you eat and always check the list of ingredients to make sure there are no sneaky sugar names listed.  Sugar can be hidden in ingredients that you don't know, so look for words like: SYRUP, JUICE, MALT, SWEETENER, and  WORDS ENDING IN -OSE --- Avoid these products!

All eligible entries received during the 5-Day Challenge will be gathered at the end of the Challenge.

A winner will be chosen at random during a Facebook Live at or around November 13th.
