Frequently Asked QUESTIONS

For In-Home Coaching, how far will you travel to train me?

I will train clients in the Kansas City metro area, but I prefer to keep my travel within a 20-mile radius from the Johnson County area.

Can you train me at my own gym or fitness center?

If you are doing In-Home Coaching and live in an apartment/condo, you will need to get this okay'd by your building. The typical larger gyms have strict rules about this and don't allow it.  

How much room do I need for workouts?

If you are working out at home, whether you're doing In-Home or Online Coaching, you will need about a 6'x6' free space area available.  I've worked out in hallways, larger bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms and kitchens. Ideally, it's also great to have some stairs and furniture handy, like chairs or an ottoman for your workout.


What do you need to succeed? 

  • A Smartphone with internet connection

  • Free My Fitness Pal account if you choose to log food (optional)

  • A body measuring tape (You'll receive this in the mail as a special gift!)

  • A scale

  • Access to the following equipment: Check my Amazon Influencer Store for some great options.

What should I wear or bring to workouts in addition to equipment?

Wear comfortable clothes (i.e. shorts, leggings or sweats with a tank top or t-shirt) and tennis shoes.  Always have a full water bottle and feel free to have a towel handy.   


How much time do I need to allow for workouts? 

The American Heart Association recommends that adults should get at least 150 minutes per week of moderate exercise or 75 minutes per week of vigorous exercise (or a combination of moderate and vigorous activity).  For a typical person, I recommend that you designate 3 days per week for a 25-30 minute strength training workout.  Depending on your goals, you may have 1-2 additional days for HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).


I also recommend as many walks as you can per week, and at least one rest and recovery day. Your program will be designed to meet YOUR needs with a combination of strength, flexibility, cardio and rest/recovery. Everything will be scheduled when it is most convenient for YOU. 

How will I receive my nutrition information?

  • If you are an In-Home client, I will deliver you a FUEL YOUR SUCCESS packet at our first session, along with a complimentary tape measure and Adjustable Tushy Toner.

  • If you are a 1:1 Online client, I will mail you a FUEL YOUR SUCCESS packet, along with a complimentary tape measure.

  • If you are a Group Online client (i.e. Mom Bod Tune Upp), you will receive your FUEL YOUR SUCCESS packet via email. Please print this out for your reference throughout the program.

Can I pay session to session?

Because I believe in a commitment to the journey of long-lasting change, single sessions are not offered.  All ongoing programs are a minimum 3-month commitment with recurring monthly payments unless otherwise stated.  


How do I cancel my recurring payments?

After completion of the first 3 months, cancellation of your service is accepted via email within a 2-week notice prior to your next recurring payment. 


How are payments made?

Payments are accepted by debit/credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express) and will be set up on a recurring monthly basis via PayPal.  Full package payments are also accepted via check.
